The City Administrator is appointed by the City Council and serves, at its’ pleasure, as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City.

The responsibilities of the City Administrator include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the City
  • Provide advise and information to City Council to assit with informed decision making
  • Carrying out ordinances and policies adopted by City Council
  • Leading and directing City departments and personnel
  • Preparing, submitting, and executing the annual budget
  • Management and control of the financial affairs of the City
  • Overseeing strategic projects and initiatives

 

Kent Manton has served as the City Administrator for Bruceville-Eddy since July of 2022. Kent has a passion for our community and public service. He has over 10 years of experience in local government operations and is a committed member of the Texas City Management Association, serving as a member of the ethics committee.
