MEETING CANCELLED TONIGHT

The absence of the city engineer and Ms. Chenowith along with the conference call from Governor Abbot stating to avoid large groups of people by social distancing, the Mayor feels it is in the best interest of the citizens to postpone the scheduled meeting tonight.  Social distancing is maintaining 6 foot of space among people. The more people you have an enclosed area, the greater the risk.

Currently McLennan county does not have any known cases, however, there are confirmed cases in  Dallas, Houston, Montgomery and other areas.  The governor stated, although there may not be anyone actively sick, that does not mean they have not been in contact with someone that has the disease.  The decision is left to the Mayor of each city to determine what is best for the community to prevent the disease entering their community.
