Trash Rate Increase

At the July City Council meeting, a trash rate increase was approved to begin in August in the amount of 3.4% across currently established fees. The rates are to take effect with the current billing cycle (mailings sent in September). For the majority of our customers, this will result in a $0.61 per residential cart increase (for a single residential cart) excluding taxes and fuel.

This increase was necessary due to rising industry costs for the disposal of solid waste and was based off a pre-approved agreement with our vendor.
