Purpose
The purpose of the BEEDC is to supplement and support the Council’s vision of creating a community committed to promoting cultural, social, economic and recreational opportunities while maintaining our small town, rural flavor. This is done through the establishment of a ‘program’ that focuses on assisting local business activity through the creation/retention of jobs.

Time Commitment
Meetings are currently held on a quarterly basis (subject to change based on need) and typically last 1-2 hours. Outside of meetings, Directors are encouraged to engage in self-study and have been tasked with providing feedback for updates to the city’s guiding documents.
